A script from Astonishing X-Men featuring a cinematic, widescreen battle with Fin Fang Foom. I used a cleaner style on this, with emphasis on longer shots to give characters room to breathe (and Foom needs a lot of room!)

These are two sequences from Amazing Spidey # 606– a “talky” scene with Peter and MJ, and an action sequence with Spidey and Black Cat. The style I used was dynamic, modern, and very “superhero-y.” I really enjoyed working on this, it came together pretty quickly.

After some toony samples, I switched things up for this story, going with a more traditional, realistic style. This is a Hulk script, but it predominantly features the X-Men as they visit Storm and the Black Panther in Wakanda.

Tweaked my style slightly for this one to make it cleaner and more accessible. Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man run into a raving Invisible Woman. After a quick battle, she recounts what happened to her.

This cartoony sample was done in an angular and clean style, perfect for lighthearted and zanier stories.Things don’t go smoothly for our teen heroes as they meet future member Victor Lamancha for the first time.

A flashback-within-a-flashback, a modern day Thor remembers the time his father ordered him to retrieve a magical item from Karnilla that was causing the Asgardian gods to bicker amongst themselves. Done in a clean, dynamic style.

This 5-page sample uses concepts and designs from the Doctor Strange animated movie. The style used is highly-detailed, commercial,  and dynamic– good for superhero and action genres. Doctor Strange and his allies must stop a couple from being attacked by a pack of marauding shadow wolves.

These 5 pages were done in a realistic style, emphasizing a cinematic, “widescreen” approach to storytelling. This style is versatile, it can be used effectively  in superhero, science-fiction, or even fantasy genres. Batman hurries across Gotham after seeing a blimp go down in flames.

This 3-pager was done in high-contrast, with a more angular, geometric approach. This style is well-suited to noir and  horror stories. Blade surveys a boat full of vamps from the docks before leaping onto one and… you know the rest.
